NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners

of the Big Flats Fire District will hold a Public Hearing on the

proposed increase to the Fire District's Statutory Spending

Limit pursuant to New York State law.

The Public Hearing will be held on July 28, 2026 at 6:00pm, at

the Big Flats Fire Station, 505 Maple Street, Big Flats, NY.

The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment

regarding the proposed increase to the Fire District's Statutory

Spending Limit. All interested persons are invited to attend and

will be given an opportunity to ask questions, express concerns,

and provide comments before the proposed vote on August 4th

2026.

LEGAL NOTICE

There will be a public informational meeting on November 3rd 2025 at 6pm for the budget.

​Now THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Big Flats Fire District #1 has adopted a proposed Annual Fire District Budget for 2026 as of this date for purposes of discussion and review at the Budget Hearing to be held on the 23rd day of October, 2025 and a copy of the proposed budget is available at the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Big Flats and at the office of the Big Flats Fire District Secretary at the fire station located at 505 Maple Street, Big Flats, New York where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours.  In addition, a copy of the proposed budget is posted on the fire company's website, and copies of the proposed budget will be available on the night of the said hearing.
