NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF STATUTORY INSTALLMENT BOND RESOLUTION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that Board of Fire Commissioners for Big Flats Fire District No. 1, Chemung County, New York, on the 25th day of January, 2010, at a special meeting, adopted a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of a ten year statutory installment bond pursuant to Local Finance Law Section 62.10 for the purchase and financing of a new and unused 101 foot aerial vehicle. The period of probable usefulness for such item being determined to be twenty years pursuant to Local Finance Law Section 11 Paragraph a Subdivision (27). Said statutory installment bond to be in the principle amount of $500,000.00. The full text of said resolution is available to be examined at the offices of the District Secretary located at Big Flats Fire Station, 505 Maple Street, Big Flats, NY.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that said resolution was duly passed by the voters of the District at a special election held on February 23, 2010.

The validity of the obligations authorized by the resolution, a summary of which is published above, adopted on the 25th day of January, 2010, and duly passed at a special election held on February 23, 2010, may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which Big Flats Fire District No. 1 is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.
